About Komodo Resort

Nestled in a sheltered bay fringed with white sand, the Komodo Dive Resort offers a unique and friendly environment to enjoy some of Indonesia's best diving. Imagine a place where you are welcomed as a family on a paradisiac island in the middle of the Komodo archipelago surrounded by crystal clear waters and pristine reefs. The Komodo region is renowned for being among the top dive sites on earth. Divers, snorkelers and photographers from all around the world come to the Komodo National Park to experience its very rich and unique marine biodiversity. The resort is located on the pristine island of Sebayur Besar, next to the Komodo National Park border and at about 18 kilometers distance from Labuan Bajo.

AKOMODASI

16 Seafront Deluxe Bungalows, 2 Grand View and 2 Grand Beach all made in teak wood from local controlled plantations and natural materials. With air conditioning, a private bathroom, terrace and garden, all the units are surrounded by the pristine nature of Sebayur Island and the beach is just a few meters away with its spectacular house reef.

RESTORAN & BAR

The sunset restaurant with is open-air bamboo structure has been created to spoil all your senses. The restaurant offers Indonesian, Italian and International cuisine with fresh products from organic cultures as well as a good selection of wines from all over the world. On top you can enjoy homemade bread, pasta for dinner and fresh pastries for breakfast. When the sun sets head over for a cocktail to the beach bar right on the shore, where the view is amazing.

GYM & SPA

For athletics, Komodo Resort offers a small but well equipped open-air gym on the second floor of the common area with a fantastic view of the sunset and of the surrounding beaches and islands. Treadmill, step machine, spinning bikes are part of the gear at your disposal. If you fancy more wellness than sports, the Spa is waiting for you. Located right on the beach, it offers traditional massages, body scrubs, sunburn treatments, facials and special diver massages.

PUSAT PENYELAM

The Komodo Resort is PADI certified and offers courses of all levels in English, Italian, French and Indonesian. 5 boats are waiting for daily diving trips to the most exciting places of the Komodo Nationalpark. The boats provide space for up to 80 divers in total although the resort does not accept more than 40 divers and 50 guests in total. The Diving Center has 45 complete sets of equipment, 190 x 12-liter aluminum tanks, 5 compressors and a Nitrox production system.

How to Get to the resort from Labuan Bajo

A member of the staff will meet & greet you at the airport and transfer you to the office in Labuan Bajo for a short check-in procedure before boarding your transfer boat. Komodo Resort offers a daily FREE shuttle service which takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to/from Labuan Bajo as below: - From Labuan Bajo to Resort: Boat departure time is at 12:45 PM - From Resort to Labuan Bajo: Boat departure time is at 08:30 AM We strongly advise you to schedule flights arriving in Labuan Bajo no later than 12:00PM. Guest who has a scheduled arrival time after 12:00PM will be required to book a private speed boat transfer.

GRAND BEACH

• Equally recent and very tastefully designed, the Grand Beach’s provide almost the same features as their sisters the Grand Views with the main difference being with the possibility to convert the sofa lounge area into 1 or 2 extra beds (90x200cm) which offers great options for families. These very spacious and comfortable rooms can pleasantly accommodate up to 4 persons and are located on the ground floor. As they are right on the beach, the outdoor area is sensational with private sun loungers, beach umbrellas, and easy access to a spectacular house reef and breathtaking views overlooking the ocean.

GRAND VIEW

• The elegantly designed Grand View’s provide a total living space of 40 m², a sofa lounge area (convertible into one 90x200cm extra bed), a spacious bathroom and an 18 m² balcony with sea view. These voluminous and comfortable rooms can pleasantly accommodate up to 3 persons and are located on the first floor. The large balcony provides a nice refreshing breeze, plenty of natural light combined with breathtaking views. The Grand View's are allocated a wonderful sunbathing area with private sun loungers & umbrellas just steps away from a magnificent white sandy beach and a spectacular house reef.

SEAFRONT DELUXE BUNGALOW

• Entirely built with natural materials and teak wood from local controlled plantations, the 16 Seafront Deluxe Bungalows genuinely blend with the environment and the pristine nature of Sebayur Island. All the units are equipped with air conditioning, an ensuite bathroom with hot/cold showers, a spacious terrace overlooking the ocean, private sun loungers & an umbrella in front of a white sandy beach and a spectacular house reef. The available room configurations are: "Double" / "Twin" / "Double + 1 single extra bed" / "3 Single beds". (Max occupancy per room is 3 persons)

DIVE OPERATIONS

Located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago, between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores, Komodo National Park is composed of three major islands (Rinca, Komodo, and Padar) and numerous smaller ones, all of them of volcanic origin. And this region is known as one of the best places for scuba diving in the world. With Komodo Resort you can enjoy great daily diving trips. The typical dive schedule starts at 08:00 and consists of a two-tank dive day and back at the resort for lunch. Afternoon dives usually start at 14:30 and also night dives are possible on request, which usually take place at 18:00. The dive sites are chosen according to the weather and sea conditions, especially the tides and related currents that can be very strong in Komodo. The dive sites may be located in between 10 minutes to 60 minutes distance from the resort pier. When the conditions are favorable there are also full day trips which are further away (approximately around 1 hour and 30 minutes) and consist of 3 dives with a lunch box served on board.

PADI DIVE COURSES

Komodo Resort is a certified PADI 5 star dive resort, which means all possible diving courses can be done here. Whether it is your first breath underwater or the professional certificate of divemaster. The divemasters are highly professional and can teach in English, Italian, French and Indonesian.

DIVE LIVEABOARD

The newest service of Komodo Resort is their liveaboard Komodo Sea Dragon. Offering a brand new concept in this region, the Komodo Sea Dragon is exclusively designed to provide personal, tailor-made experiences and extraordinary comfort while exploring the beauty of the Komodo archipelago, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature and a UNESCO world heritage site. Our cruises are open to divers and non-divers alike and each trip is tailor-made to cater for guest’s preferences as well as accounting for the weather conditions, tides, currents and any other prevailing events.
