SMALL ISLANDS – BIG DIVE ADVENTURE
As a subregion of Oceania Micronesia has a lot to offer underwater. From close encounters with gentle manta rays to exciting wreck explorations – cruising in between all the small islands on your dive safari will be something special.
Mikronesia is a subregion of Oceania, composed of thousands of small islands in the western Pacific Ocean. The region has a tropical marine climate and is part of the Oceanian Realm. There are four main archipelagos—the Caroline Islands, the Gilbert Islands, the Mariana Islands, and the Marshall Islands—along with numerous outlying islands.
The country consists of more water than land. No wonder, that the underwater life is so thrilling, lush and various. Apart from the small island Micronesia also has coral-ringed atolls with some amazing coral reefs to explore. So many reasons that make this country one of the top dive destinations in the world. One of the most famous regions to dive is probably Palau with its crazy currents and the famous jellyfish lake. The region Truk offers some great historical WWII wrecks. An absolute playground for technical divers.
BEST TIME TO VISIT MICRONESIA
Due to the balmy weather, Micronesia is a year-round dive destination. However, during the months of November to May, more rain can be expected. The average air temperature is around 27°C and the water temperature ranges from 26 to 28 degrees. The visibility is always good and can range up to 40 meters.
BEST DIVE SPOTS IN MICRONESIA
Palau has some unique dive adventures to offer including fast drift dives, drop-offs, blue holes, channels and caves. Due to the strong currents, this area is more for experienced divers. Around Koror wreck-lovers will find their spot with some awesome wrecks of the second world war.
Yap is the manta heaven of Micronesia. From December to April it´s manta mating season in this remote area. The dives with the gentle rays are in shallow water, which is suitable for beginners too. Only the visibility can be a bit poor sometimes.
The wreck heaven is called Truk Lagoon. You can explore a whole ghost fleet of sunken ships of World War II. Some wrecks are below the limits for recreational divers, so it is more a playground for technical divers. But some wrecks are below 40 meters and have easier access.

Palau adalah salah satu tujuan menyelam terbaik di dunia. Lokasi menyelam kelas dunia, beberapa arus terkuat di dunia, dan salah satu pemandangan terindah – liveaboard Palau menarik perhatian Anda dengan banyak kelebihan.
Palau adalah sebuah negara kepulauan yang terletak di sebelah barat Samudera Pasifik. Negara ini memiliki sekitar 340 pulau, dan bersama dengan bagian dari Negara Federasi Mikronesia, membentuk rangkaian barat Kepulauan Caroline. Luas wilayahnya 466 kilometer persegi (180 mil persegi). Pulau terpadat adalah Koror.

Predator lain seperti tuna dan ikan layar bergabung dengan kelompok hiu. Pari manta melintasi Selat Jerman.
Pecinta kapal karam akan menemukan tempat mereka di sekitar Koror. Di sini Anda dapat menemukan banyak bangkai kapal yang tenggelam dalam Perang Dunia II. Palau juga merupakan salah satu dari sedikit tempat di dunia untuk melihat Nautilus. Jadi bukalah matamu.
WAKTU TERBAIK UNTUK PERGI KE PALAU
Dari bulan Juli sampai Oktober adalah musim hujan. Selain itu Palau adalah tujuan menyelam sepanjang tahun dengan suhu air hangat 27 hingga 30 derajat. Suhu udara bisa mencapai 60 meter pada hari-hari baik. Hanya di lokasi penyelaman bangkai kapal, jarak pandang bisa sangat buruk dengan jarak 5 hingga 10 meter.
TEMPAT MENYELAM TERBAIK DI PALAU
Sudut Biru is one of the most famous dive spots in Palau. It is a coral peninsula with strong currents. So don’t forget your reef hook to hang into it and watch the underwater life. You will see sharks, schools of fish, unicorn fish and more.
Gua Lampu Gantung adalah sebuah gua berisi udara. Anda dapat berenang melewati tiga ruangan dan naik ke ruangan terakhir untuk melihat pemandangan yang indah.
Saluran Jerman is suitable for all diving levels. There´s a cleaning station for manta rays and sharks. So you can always enjoy the manta rays feeding, looping and making the manta train.
