About Villa Markisa

This exclusive resort is located on the northeast coast of Bali. Nestled at the foot of Bali’s most famous volcano “Gunung Agung”, our private bungalows offer individual service and great attention to detail. Dive Bali’s most famous site, Tulamben’s USS Liberty shipwreck just minutes away with the high-speed tender boat. For scuba divers who prefer critters, “Seraya Secrets” is directly in front of Villa Markisa. Come and explore Bali’s best diving from the comfort of this tropical paradise. The main building of our resort includes a library with many books in several languages as well as a wide variety of identification books. Here you can also shop for souvenirs in a little boutique. On request, the team of Villa Markisa can show films and slide shows.

UNTERKUNFT

The resort offers a variety of accommodations starting from budget rooms over deluxe bungalows up to the very luxury Master bedroom. All rooms and bungalows are equipped with AC, minibar and room safe.

RESTAURANT & BAR

To enter the restaurant you cross a lovely pond with colorful fish and water lilies. The well-trained staff is more than happy to spoil you with a variety of Balinese and Indonesian specialties, tasty buffets as well as international and vegetarian cuisine. On the menu, you will find classic non-alcoholic drinks as well as wines, beers and spirits. At the bar, directly by the sea, you can enjoy your drink from a selection of tasty tropical cocktails.

GARDEN, POOL & SPA

After a day discovering the colorful underwater world you can relax on comfortable sunbeds at the pool with a jacuzzi. A special treat for tense muscles is a traditional Balinese massage that you can get in the resort-own spa.

Villa Markisa was built where Christiane discovered in 2002 the now worldwide famous macro dive site "Seraya Secrets", an eldorado for underwater photographers. The resort is only 50ft from more phenomenal macro dive spots, and it's just a short trip to the renowned Liberty wreck.

Wie man dorthin kommt

The drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport to Villa Markisa takes about 2-3 hours, depending on the traffic. The resort can provide airport transfers with their own minibus for an additional charge. Please contact us, if you need transfer service.

SSI DIVE COURSES

Villa Markisa is a certified SSI scuba diving center and offers the full range of scuba diving courses from try diving over an open water course up to the advanced open water diver. Guests can also do a variety of specialties including Nitrox, Deep Diving or Underwater Photography.
